Transformer Refurbishment:

  • Having an advanced exposure and understanding of the overall manufacturing and design (layout and design processes and importance of external design reviews) on Power Transformers. Hence, enables us to offer both electrical and mechanical refurbishment/maintenance on Transformers:
  • Cooling Systems: Fans, Radiators (ONAN, ONAF, OFAN OFAF, OFWF as well as ODAF)
  • Oil Leaks Repairs: Bushings, Bucholtz, Pressure relief Valves, Bag leak detection, Breathers, Marshalling Kiosk, Sudden flow stop valve, Oil level Indicators, Temperature indicators.
  • Commissioning tests covers and under what circumstances transformers should be tested, the terminology as well as the recommended field test that need to be performed and reasoning behind the tests.

Tap-Changers (UZE/UZF) and Motor Drive Mechanism (types: BUF)

  • High Voltage Transformer (132kV-275kV) Tap-Changer Maintenance is offered for a trouble-free operation. Three major steps are conducted on TapChangers when maintained: Inspection, Trouble-Shooting, Overhauling and Contact Replacement.

Earthing and Lightning Protection

  • To optimise step and touch potential as well as determine the most economic use of materials, it is recommended that a soil resistivity test is carried out prior to installing material to assess the optimum amount of product to be used. Moreover, our designed systems ensure these Earthing reasons:
  • Unipotential platform is achieved.
  • Shunt Path for Earth Fault Current is provided for.
  • Reference the electrical system to the planet.
  • Safety of personnel: Step-potential, Touch-potential, Transferred-potential.
  • Safety of plant and equipment.
  • RF propagation, shielding and screening.
  • Hence, we offer services and solutions in Earthing and Lightning Protection systems (ELP) to ensure that the above is met in below:
